The Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association (AMMA) is the sole governing body for mixed martial arts in Asia, officially recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

AMMA Vision 2024: Redefining Mixed Martial Arts with a Safer, More Inclusive, and Mainstream Approach

Safer:
Our goals and mission extend far beyond the ring. We are committed to establishing comprehensive standards in all aspects, including competition rules, athlete safety, event management, and refereeing. Through a series of initiatives, we aim to eliminate techniques and actions that may pose extreme risks, prioritizing athlete safety and protection to significantly reduce the likelihood of injuries. We will continue collaborating with international sports organizations and regulatory bodies to ensure these standards are globally recognized and implemented.

More Inclusive:
We are dedicated to drawing from the strengths of various martial arts disciplines, integrating their techniques and essences to create a unique, inclusive, and captivating competitive sport—"Mixed Martial Arts." This discipline incorporates movements and techniques from a variety of martial arts, including but not limited to Chinese martial arts, boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, karate, and taekwondo. We firmly believe that this integrated competitive sport will become a symbol of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.

More Mainstream:
We are steadfast in our pursuit of establishing mixed martial arts as a recognized competitive sport, making its debut in international events such as the Asian Games and the Olympic Games. We will continue to engage in constructive dialogue with international organizations, showcasing the safe and regulated development of mixed martial arts to audiences worldwide. We believe that our proactive efforts will bring all athletes and fans who love mixed martial arts closer to this significant milestone.
